1,000th Operator's License Issued at the Academy

Whether material handlers, cranes or forklifts - wherever heavy machinery is moved, training and instruction of the operators is mandatory. Since 2015, the SENNEBOGEN Academy has been offering a variety of programs for machine operators to obtain their license. This week we celebrated the graduation of our 1,000th operator.

Driver Dominik Donath from the customer mags was excited when trainer Dominik Busch and training manager Florian Attenhauser not only presented him with the driving licence card after he had passed his driving test, but also presented him with a congratulations gift.

Donath works for Mönchengladbacher Abfall-, Grün- und Straßenbetriebe AöR, mags for short, and in future will be working on a SENNEBOGEN 718 E tree care handler to ensure that all trees in the city on the Lower Rhine are always well trimmed and can be felled safely if necessary.

He came to Straubing for the two-day course, where trainer Dominik Busch first explained the legal basis and safety features, as well as the design and handling of the SENNEBOGEN machines, before moving on to the practical part of the driving test and the skills course.

Just like Dominik Donath, a total of 1,000 participants have successfully passed this test over the past eight years - whether in a material handler, crane, telescopic handler or, for some years now, a forklift truck.

In conclusion, training manager Florian Attenhauser once again emphasizes the importance of comprehensive training in the form of a operator's license:

"Only with training in theory and practice and the appropriate instruction on the machine can drivers and companies operate the machines safely and in accordance with the rules, and the DGUV regulations speak for themselves. Just last year, for example, DGUV Principle 301-005 was reissued, which once again specified the qualification and commissioning of hydraulic excavator drivers."
